Principles of Visual Design

Elements of Visual Design

The  elements  and  principles of design   are the foundational building blocks used to create a visual work.  The elements of design are the A, B, C's that are put together by any artist or  designer  to create an image or object.   The  grammar  of how these elements are used create the overall visual work.   Good or bad, all visual works will contain most of these elements, if not all, the nine elements of design. The  principles of design  can be thought of as  what we do  to the elements of design.   Go to the page on  Principles of Design  for more information.
